July 27, 2007 - Winter Wonderland and Plano Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting at the Summit Ballrooms in Plano
The Summit Ballrooms in Plano had their ribbon cutting with the Plano Chamber of Commerce in a grand event for them they called "Winter Wonderland"!
Many great vendors were there to provide their services from acrobatics, bar tending, chocolate fountains, live music, green screen photos, candies, photography & video (provided by us!). The Summit Ballrooms is located near George Bush and 75 in Plano, just down the road from our location.

July 1, 2007 - Pool Party and Rain!
With the much rain received over the last few weeks in North Texas, we were afraid it would put a hamper on our early Independance Day Swim Party! Fortunately it only drizzled on us a bit on Sunday.
We were able to enjoy Mango Margaritas and water volleyball during the day.
The rain has made the plants in the yard grow great! The mosquitos love this weather too unfortunately.

June 25, 2007 - Houston, TX trip
We love to visit other locations. We advertise in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin & San Antonio for weddings and corporate events.
My (Damon) kids and I visited Houston. We stayed downtown at the Doubletree Hotel. Visited the Galleria area, NASA, and downtown Houston.
Next month (July) we plan on going to San Antonio if the weather will stop raining for awhile!

June 21 , 2007 - Cara & Mike's Wedding Video Highlights!
Cara, my (Damon) sister, and her husband Mike live in Indianapolis, Indiana. We had the pleasure of being able to photograph and video their wedding in Logansport, Indiana near where much of our shared family lives. My one and only little sister has grown up! Mike is a great guy - take care of her Mike!
I remember Mike on a ski trip in Michigan when he was in 8th grade. I was one of the staff then in my young 20's.
Cara's (and my) father passed away during her senior year in high school in 2001 of cancer. My twin brother, Darren, that lives near her and older brother, Jay, have been a great support for her through the years, along with her mother. I've lived in the Dallas area since 1992 so haven't had much time with her since she was about 10 years old, sadly. Sorry Cara, wish I could have been there with you during those years.
My twin brother walked Cara down the aisle and did the customary father (brother) daughter dance with her. It was a touching time.
We were able to participate in Cara and Mike's rehearsal and wedding/reception. Many screen shots from the video and from the photos captured are here. Sisters get some privileges on the blog!

June 14, 2007 - New York City Vacation and Client Meeting
After our photo shoot on Fire Island near New York City, we traveled to the Big Apple. We stayed in the Chelsea area, took a open air bus tour around the downtown loop, saw lots of big buildings, Ground Zero area, a few clubs, etc. We saw the Broadway show, Chicago, while there too! We met Florence Henderson at her private after hours birthday celebration along with Randy Jones-the cowboy of Village People. We met the famous "Naked Cowboy" on the streets singing and playing his guitar!
New York City is a busy, busy city with thousands of people daily on the sidewalks and around the city.

June 9, 2007 - Fire Island, New York Model Photo Shoot
Over the weekend we had the opportunity to be the photograph several models for a new agency in Dallas. We've already shot 12 models in a Dallas shoot in early May for this same client. They liked our work so well they wanted to send us to Fire Island off New York coast for another shoot.
We enjoy destination weddings and events! This gave us the great opportunity to see this beautiful island with many $1,000,000+ homes located on it. Most are just weekend or summer homes for busy executives. We shot in a beautiful home located in the "Pines" on Fire Island.
Different locations in the home, around the home, and at the beach of the Atlantic Ocean were shot. Rain spoiled some of the shots we wanted but we were able to work around these.
Since we were paid by our client as "work made for hire" we can not show any of the images we shot. But we will say they were really good and will be available through the client later this summer.

June 2, 2007 - Connie & Aimee Marry at Fort Worth Botanical Gardens
Aimee and Connie have been making some headline news in California and local Fort Worth areas. Connie grew up Mennonite and has many Amish family still. She was married previously and has children from that marriage. They were on a news report on how to tell your children that you are gay. See NBC report online
The ceremony was held at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens in the Lower Rose Garden. The reception was held at the beautiful home of Aimee's parent's in Burlson, Texas.

May 20, 2007 - Bass Hall Performance Center Bridal Show
D-Weddings held a beautiful bridal show at the Bass Performance Hall Sunday, May 20. The show attracted hundreds of future brides.
We had a super location in the Grand Lobby where the conclusion of the show held a Victorian Ring Pull where lucky participants could "pull" a ring on string out of the cake and win great prizes. Our luck recipient of our Free Bridal or Engagement Photo Shoot (value $500) was Holly! Congratulations Holly!
Our booth contained many samples of our leatherbound wedding books, stretched canvas, metallic prints, videography samples, video iPod, portable DVD player.
Behind our table helping us was our friends and wedding professionals, Ricardo Tomas of Ricardo Tomas Weddings (wedding planner) and Keshet Burton of Make-up by Keshet (Make-up and hair artisty). Along with Ricardo and Keshet was us, the owners! Brian Frazier, photographer and Damon Frazier, videographer. The bright green colored cake was provided by Ricardo and attracted much attention with the fresh sliced fruits placed on it.

May 8, 2007 - Association of Wedding Professionals at DFW Lakes Hilton
A group of about 100 wedding professionals, probably some you have or will use if your wedding is this year. This fine group of caterers, florists, DJs, etc meets on a regular basis.
I had the honor of being the official photographer for this month and am scheduled to have a "highlight showcase" in August with the group.

May 5-6, 2007 - Calendar Photo Shoot in Dallas with Group of 12 models
Over the weekend we had the opportunity to be the photographer and videographer for an all weekend modeling shoot in Dallas. Along with the agency that hired us, we set up the shots for each month of the calendar and art directed most of the shots. We had several people assisting us with lights, reflecting the light, etc.
We were hired to shoot the models but have no electronic rights to the images - so I can't show you any! I can just say they were so good that now they're sending us to New York City for another shoot in June!
Brian was the photographer for all of these and I (Damon) did the "Behind the Scenes" video. We both got some great images that we're very proud of.

Linda & Stephen were married at the First Unitarian Church of Dallas. The chapel had a beautiful glass wall in the back of the wedding party. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

April 28, 2007 - Dinosaurs, Kids & Camping at Glen Rose
This past weekend I took my kids to Glen Rose for camping. We camped at Oakdale Park that's been there since the 1800's! The swimming pool is over 300,000 gallons and originally built in 1925 by a team of mules!
We visited Big Rock Park across the street where some very interesting rock structure were that we climbed and played on. We visited the Creation Evidence Museum and Dinosaur Valley State Park. We played and swam in the Paluxy River with the real dinosaur tracks!

April 24, 2007 - Victoria & Sean's Wedding Books Arrive - DVDs Ready!
Victoria & Sean were married at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie. Victoria came in contact with us through her mother, president of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce where we had been members for several years before moving to the Plano area. We're still listed as preferred vendors at the Ruthe Jackson Center and enjoy working there.
Victoria & Sean originally ordered a package that came with an 8"x8" leather-bound wedding book. They decided after the wedding to upgrade to a larger 10"x10" and order two 5"x5" parent books. (note: We have sizes up to 11x14 and 12x12)
The books just arrived and the leather smells so good, the photos are beautiful and we're sure they will be proud to display these for years to come! The front has a metal strip with their color picture, name and date imprinted on it. The parents will be happy too with their smaller versions!
On the same day, we finished editing their wedding video and have 3 copies ready for them! Below is the 1 minute leader that comes before the menu for the DVD. It's a video collage of the special day!

April 21, 2007 - Chary & Brian marry at Avanti, downtown Dallas
We first came in contact with Chary & Brian in early 2006 through their wedding coordinator, Emily Youngblood of Blessed Unions, to prepare for their beautiful downtown Dallas wedding. Guests from several countries attended this lovely outside wedding at Fountain Place/Avanti Restaurant. The only weather inconvenience was high winds. The wind did make for nice photos and video with the bride's veil blowing.
We met Chary & Brian Saturday at the Fairmont Hotel downtown and shot some rooftop photos. The brides suite and grooms suite were in opposite towers.
Make-up was done by Makeup Logic, cake by Elenas Cakes, flowers by Stanford Designs, DJ was J R Acosta with Complete Music
Chary & Brian have already ordered a lovely 11x14 leather-bound book and parent books! They will be choosing their images for these in the next few weeks.

April 16, 2007 - Sally and Richard's Engagement Photos at Dallas Arboretum
We shot some great photos of Sally and Richard at the Dallas Arboretum on this beautiful Monday morning. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the Dallas Arboretum is always a great location to shoot at. The night before Sally and Richard treated us to some of their favorite food, crawfish! Thanks Sally and Richard! Delicious!

April 16, 2007 - Dogs and swimming!
With such a beautiful Monday the dogs decided to take a swim in the pool! Brian is seen helping Benjamynn on the floating mat and Simon loves to retrieve his red ball in the pool. We have a great filtration system in the pool fortunately to easily handle the extra hair!
Just before the dogs went swimming we had a photo shoot using the pool as a backdrop for a portfolio/modeling photo shoot.

Maria & Brian were married at the beautiful St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and held their reception at Maple Manor in downtown Dallas. Maria had her bridal photos just before the wedding on March 17 (see blog) at the Las Colinas canal area. What a beautiful wedding and reception!
Maria and Brian have preordered their 11x14 leather-bound wedding book and (2) parent books which will be designed soon. They will be beautiful!
The reception was held at the downtown Dallas Maple Manor, a Victorian house built in 1898.

April 10 , 2007- JWI - June Weddings at Four Seasons, Las Colinas and
AWP - Association of Wedding Professionals at Old Red Courthouse
Today was a day of two wedding professional group meetings at two wonderful locations! JWI (June Weddings) group met at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas/Irving. What a beautiful location! I've shot some of our corporate photography there last year for NCH Corporation's "Inner Circle Platinum" award winners. The group had a wonderful time of networking and lunch.
Several hours later, another non-related, professional wedding vendor group, AWP or Association of Wedding Professionals, met at the Old Red Courthouse/Museum downtown Dallas for networking and dinner.
"Old Red" was reopened in January 2007 and has almost finished in renovation. The 2nd floor museum will be open soon! Linda Murdock is the contact person for this location. It's now available for weddings and events. Linda said every Saturday except one has been booked for 2007! Some Friday and Sunday's are still available.
These two wonderful groups, JWI and AWP, are valuable resources and places to help wedding professionals stay current and network with each other. Both groups have many wedding coordinators, caterers, location venues, florists, musicians, and of course photographers and videographers.

Kendra grew up almost across the street from the legendary Southfork Ranch. Naturally her life's ambition was to get married at this ranch she's grown to love.
Kendra and Jeff were married April 1, 2007. Their outside beautiful wedding was held under large oak trees while the sun started to set.

April 7, 2007- Kids, dogs, swimming, snow, and chicken feet!
This past Tuesday we had 90 degree weather. A few days later this weekend we're seeing some snow flurries?!! Strange weather! My two girls, Jessica and Courtney, came over for the weekend while their older brother Brandon was at home sick.

April 2, 2007- Groom jumps in the pool
We were at a wedding at Southfork Ranch yesterday. At the conclusion of this beautiful outside wedding the groom and one of the groomsmen decided on taking a plunge into J.R. Ewing's swimming pool at Southfork Ranch!
DJ Steve Cox of Digital Enhancement was the MC for the night - you can hear his voice on the short video clip in the background.

March 31, 2007 - Baby Fish Born!
One of our African Cichlid fish had babies! We learned that the fish are born live (no eggs) and the mother holds them in her mouth up to 28 days! We read that it's best to help the mother and babies by extracting them with a toothpick in the mother's mouth and moving her to release the babies. We did that and wow! She had many little babies inside her tiny mouth!
But we should have been more prepared. We needed a spawning net to put them in. Sadly all our new babies have died. Next time we'll be more prepared.

March 28, 2007 - Tri-Chamber Multi-Cultural Reception
Three chamber of commerce got together at SMU for a multi-cultural mixer and reception. About 500 people from the Asian, Hispanic and GLBT Chamber of Commerce attended this event. Many executives from local business and the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau attended. Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez was attendance as well.

March 25 , 2007- Brian's Birthday Party!
Brian's (photographer) birthday was March 23. Due to scheduled weddings on Saturday, a birthday swim party was set up. The pool heated, jello shots made, margarita machine rented, grill fired up, and volleyball net set up!
Some of our past clients and wedding coordinator Ricardo Tomas were in attendance.
The day was enjoyed by all.

Ryan originally came to us last year to get a business card head shot for his real estate business. As Ryan and his fiance came in (Linnette in tote with her bridal magazines) little did they know that our main focus on business is weddings!

March 21 , 2007- Historical Archives Shot
A local corporation had many historical documents they wanted to archive including photographs, newspaper clippings, magazines, etc. They considered scanning them, sending them out for electronic scanning, etc. We gave them a bid last Fall to digitally shoot them in high-resolution ready for future projects and preserving them from continued wear and tear.
We set up a 2 day shoot and shot near 700 documents. Now they can use their images to produce a History of the Company kiosk and internet version of the company history - a one-man business in 1918 to near 10,000 world-wide employees today.

March 17 , 2007- Las Colinas Bridal Photo Shoot
We set up a bridal photo shoot for Maria at the Las Colinas canals area. This is a great location for photo shoots and has that downtown San Antonio flair to it.
Maria's make-up artist, sister, and daughter came to. My two daughters, Jessica and Courtney, also came to entertain Maria's little daughter.
I (Damon) am holding the reflector as Brian is shooting the photo. My oldest daughter took this photo of all of us in action.

The framed portrait is the image Maria has chosen for her upcoming April 14 wedding! She picked this beautiful 20x30 stretched canvas framed print to display at her reception! (See blog April 14 for wedding!)

March 13 , 2007- AWP Meeting - (Association of Wedding Professionals)
I try to attend many of the professional wedding groups in our area. AWP is a great resource for wedding vendors and networking. I was a guest of one of my favorite wedding coordinators, Jane Salos, of An Elegant Wedding.
